Dr. G E Rabon

  • Position:  Doctor of Dental Medicine

Grover Edens Rabon, DMD, FAGD 

G. E. Rabon, DMD, FAGD graduated from the Citadel in 1992 with a Bachelors degree in Biology.  He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from MUSC in 1997.  Dr. Rabon went on to complete the General Practice Residency at Palmetto Richland Hospital.  He became a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2005, which consists of over 500 post-doctoral hours of continuing education specified and accredited by the Academy in certain areas of dentistry along with successful complete of the exam.  He is a licensed provider for Moderate IV Conscious Sedation in the office.  
Dr. Rabon is a native of Sumter County and enjoys various outdoor activities with his beautiful wife and children.  He has worked hard to make Restorative Arts Dental nothing short of outstanding.  The incredible patient base and loyal staff are the proof to his great success!


Amelia Abercrombie, DMD

  • Position: Associate Dentist

Dr. Amelia Abercrombie has joined our team and is ready to help you achieve a healthy and confident smile.  A graduate of Clemson University and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Abercrombie is excited to return home to the Palmetto State after four years of practicing in North Carolina.  She and her husband are happy to be part of the Sumter community.






  • Position:  Registered Dental Hygienist

Sherri Porter-Watt provides dental oral hygiene care and education to her patients.  She is in her 24th year as a Registered Dental Hygienist for Dr. G.E. Rabon at Restorative Arts Dental.  Sherri assists with New Patient exams, radiographs, and routine prophylaxis and periodontal scaling and root planning, periodontal maintenance, along with keyboarding treatment plans specifically designed for the patient.  She graduated from Laurence Manning Academy in 1992, attended the University of South Carolina in Sumter, where she met her husband, Morgan Watt.  She graduated from Florence Darlington Technical College in 1998.  Sherri has worked her entire professional career with Dr. Rabon.  She is married to a country loving farmer who also teaches and coaches for Laurence Manning Academy, and is the mother to two active boys, Bryson and John Meyers.  She is active with Lewis Chapel United Methodist Church where she has been a member for almost 30 years.





  • Position: Registered Dental Hygienist

Jeannie is one of our Registered Dental Hygienists who ironically started her journey at Restorative Arts Dental as a patient!  Jeannie graduated from Florence Darlington Technical College with her degree in Dental Hygiene and has been beautifying smiles since 2010.  She has been happily married for 33 years and counting with two beautiful grown children.  Jeannie loves her time off to enjoy some peace and quiet, but yearns for the crazy fun-filled days of grandchildren.  (Inside tip- if your honey supply is low, give Jeannie a holler!)






  • Position: Dental Assistant

Alyssa originally went to school and graduated as a Certified Surgical Technologist. Her path led her to dentistry and she has been working as a Dental Assistant for the past 4 years.  Her strong work ethics show day in and day out and help keep the office running smoothly in order to provide excellent patient care.  Alyssa is a loving wife and mother and enjoys spending time with her beautiful family on her off days.  She also has a soft spot for all the four-legged friends and finds so much joy in rescuing and fostering fur babies.  






  • Position: Dental Assistant

Originally from Phenix City, Alabama, Tori has been enjoying Sumter for the last 5 years.  She received her Dental Assisting Certificate from Auburn University and has been in the field for 4 years.  Her warm and welcoming personality helps our patients stay comfortable and relaxed.  She takes pride in making sure you leave with a smile.  In her spare time, you can find Tori relaxing on the beach or improving her health and wellness with a spa day.  She is married to her high school sweetheart and they love spending family time together with their four legged baby boy, Boomer.



  • Position: Dental Assistant

Lauren started her Dental Assisting career in 2013 after graduating from Sunrise School of Dental Assisting in Columbia, SC.  She finds joy in the surgical side of dentistry, helping Dr. Rabon and Dr. Abercrombie with various surgical dental procedures.  On the weekends, you can find Lauren by any body of water enjoying the outdoors.  She found her soul mate 13 years ago and they have been married for the past 6.  She and her husband are very proud dog parents to their baby, Chloe. .  






  • Position: Dental Assistant

Bobbie is the newest member of our team and is eager to learn all areas of the dental office.  She is currently training to assist our doctors and hygienists with dental procedures, sterilizing instruments, and learning front office duties such as scheduling and answering the phones.  Her future in the dental field is as bright as her personality.  Bobbie has spent the majority of her life in Sumter, which gives her a great advantage because she personally knows a lot of our lovely patients!  






  • Position: Office Manager

Our Office Manager, Michelle, started her dental career in Charleston before moving to Sumter in 2019.  She has been working in the dental field for 7 years, gaining knowledge of all front office duties and dental insurance.  Michelle attended the College of Charleston majoring in Accounting before starting her family and switching career paths.  Her professionalism shines in the office and she takes great pride in patient care.  She is a proud baseball and gymnastics mom who spends most of her free time cheering on her children and enjoying all the facets of motherhood. 






  • Position: Scheduling Coordinator

Lyndi is the first face to greet you when you visit our office. Her friendly and upbeat personality makes every patient feel welcome and at home.  Born and raised in Sumter, Lyndi’s true southern hospitality shines every day at work.  On her off days, Lyndi enjoys all the comforts of being at home and catching up on her favorite shows while dreaming of her next vacation to the beach.
